Mississauga Marathon Training – Week 3 – Feb 8 – 14

Week 3 was better than last week.   Unfortunately I didn’t get my long run in due to work commitment.  I was able to run around Orangeville and see what they were doing with Mill Creek.  Dredging and  cleaning out the bottom reinforcing the banks while diverting the water around the places that they’re working on… looks pretty good.

IMG_5165Speed work was really hard this week.  I was able to get a 3:20 (800m) with the recovery of 2:20 (400m) , then 3:23 and 3:17!  Can I say happy dance time.  These 800 m are not easy but they certainly do build your speed.   Interval training I think will make the difference this time around.

On Thursday I was given an outstanding achievement award for my work in 2015 which is awesome.  I’m not normally into these awards.  All that came to mind when I was accepting the award was of the faces of the people that I had helped over the year it brought me to tears , I was grateful for each and every single one of him and glad to be part of their home buying and selling experience.IMG_5207

The weather is being all over the place with regards to temperature. At one point I couldn’t see anymore because my eyelids were refreezing shut the more that I exhaled the more ice. Look at my eyelashes …it was very disturbing..Lol
